I was curious to look at the distribution of fastest-growing companies by sector from Inc Magazine’s yearly list so I imported them to a spreadsheet and graphed the results. See below.
Not surprisingly software and IT services are two of the leaders in growth. Healthcare isn’t necessarily a surprise as high growth. Advertising and marketing are a little interesting. I suspect there may be some tech companies within this category to account for the growth here.
Note: It’d be more interesting to actually just have more detail from Inc on company categories as there is a significant overlap between IT and software and Advertising, likely, and it’d be better to know more about the specialties of these companies to make this more insightful.
