“What can I do to make things simpler?” should be a daily mantra or prayer for everyone.
Especially if you are working on a building a product or business each day requires that you make choices that will either slightly add complexity or simplicity to what you’re doing. It truly each to make this more complicated and difficult to make them simpler.
Derek Siver wrote a simple article about where he said the world is basically always trying to get your to add new stuff, buy new stuff and that the trick is to figure out how to subtract. I agree. It’s, however, easy to say and hard to do.
One of my college professors once said, “Good writing simplifies complexity. Bad writing makes simple things complicated.” Again, another reinforcement how this idea and how it seems to touch many things and should be fixated on!
